Okay, so the coughing is... less, but now when I cough, I feel sort of dizzy, like my brain's come unmoored. What's up with that?

Well, let's just assume the Robitussin DM will take care of it and that I'll live long enough to finish this entry.

It's the South by Southwest Festival Player!

You can even search for specific bands!

Songs I liked: )

Also, in the healing spirit of LOVE, let me just say, if you can't pimp your friends, who can you pimp? These are a handful of some of the perhaps lower profile folks on my flist - so let us celebrate them, shall we?

[info]rusty76 provides hot! link! action! and stunning photographs. When I want to see what the kids are listening to, I loll around at the excellent [info]schuyler's place. She and [info]rossetti deliver the goods on a regular basis, and [info]rosetti posts recipes that make me sort of actually want to try and cook things, so that means she's delightful and inspiring! Who has more energy than our vibrant [info]seraphcelene? [info]isilya is forthright and clever and chock full of interesting medical knowledge-- she's flocked, but maybe if you scratch at her door she'll let you in. If your flists are in need of a little cheerfully daft charm, you could do no better than [info]chicklet_girl (who is on double secret probation). [info]apocalypsos (who ate radioactive greenbeans) twirls! [info]miss_pryss's adventures in cuddling with Mr. Smarty-Pants will make you smile, I guarantee. [info]tevere could write about this one time when she read the telephone book when she was bored? and make me hang on every word. She reminds me of my dear [info]runpunkrun in that every time I read her, I'm once again blown away by how amazing she is. [info]ann_tara, sweet and tart, will keep you on the ball about your shows, and I absolutely rely on [info]annezo to keep the snappy meta coming (and she's promised us SGA stories!), and [info]debra_tabor is keeping us all so informed, you should check out her tales of "bible college" (and she's written SGA stories!).

They're my peeps!

Why don't you browse on over and introduce yourselves?

Much as she sent me the song by The Blood Arm, [info]lucitania sent me Fireworks (ETA: per [info]dsudis - it's not called The Hockey Song, but Fireworks!) by The Tragically hip, which is so plainly a song about John. In keeping with the "Songs about John" theme, please to be listening to John Saw That Number by Neko Case. And then here's a song about Atlantis: We Love The City by Hefner. Now you! John songs, Rodney songs, Ronon songs, Teyla songs, team songs! Gimme gimme gimme!

I got some shelvy little doodads for my room and I plan on shoving all the furniture around (and maybe calling it names, too-- it's still up in the air) but I don't have the right screwdriver. Woe!

Anyway, here is some music that always makes me think of Rodney McKay. Whom I love. I already posted a link to The Blood Arm's Suspicious Character, but you should hear these, too: Liz Phair's Supernova because it is so OBVIOUSLY about Rodney's love for John and VICE VERSA and Trooper's The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car because it is so incredibly bad that it has looped all the way around to AWESOME.

The end.

I leave and go stand in front of the vending machines. I have seventeen cents, and three of them are Canadian. I have eighteen cents. You can't buy anything with eighteen cents. Especially not delicious snack cakes.
